Shampoo & Condition OR at least cowash ALL hair before installing, this is very important as your hair may have been in it's packaging for a while and may be in need of a little refreshing and moisture
We recommend you cowash your extensions weekly, and shampoo hair twice a month or as needed using a sulfate free & paraben free shampoo and conditioner
Detangle starting from the ends and working your way upward towards the weft
ALWAYS detangle your hair using a wide tooth comb before washing
ALWAYS wash with care going in a downward motion to keep the cuticles intact
NEVER scrub or rub the hair against itself that will cause a disruption of the cuticles and that will certainly cause tangling and matting
Always condition your hair with a moisturizing conditioner.
Deep conditioning does wonders to the hair deep condition your hair at least twice a month
We recommend you AIR DRY your hair for best results and do not disturb hair while drying (to reduce frizziness)
Remember your Raw Hair extensions are an investment so care for it as you would your real hair
To preserve our Curly or Wavy hair extensions we advise our customers to scrunch the hair prior to air-drying it
NEVER go to sleep with wet/damp hair (sleeping on wet/damp hair will cause matting)
Braid or twist the hair every night to maintain pattern (curly or wavy textures)
ALWAYS sleep in a satin bonnet or on a silk pillowcase to preserve the hair and retain moisturize
We DO NOT recommend you cut the wefts on your extensions because it can cause shedding
We DO NOT recommend using box hair dyes when attempting to color your raw hair seek help from a professional hair colorist
While it is possible to bleach our hair, it is important to note that our hair is in its raw state, just like your natural hair. We strongly recommend consulting a professional to ensure the preservation of your curl's health when coloring your bundles. However, similar to the natural hair that grows from your scalp, it's worth mentioning that bleach and color may potentially alter the wave/curl pattern of your curls on the extensions.
Remember bleaching your knots will weaken the hair if possible try another technique to avoid bleaching the knots or seek help from a professional hair stylist
ALWAYS use a heat protectant before using any heated styling tools and remember overuse of heat tools can ultimately be damaging to the hair just like our real hair
We recommend you seek a professional hairstylist when coloring your hair extensions, closures and frontals. Always note while the bleaching process can be damaging to any hair texture, it has a unique effect on curly hair—it can damage or change your curl pattern altogether
Raw hair reacts to the weather and your atmosphere just as our real hair would daily so we recommend using a small amount of a daily leave-in conditioner or foam for wavy or curly hair
Remember the longevity of your extensions rely on how you care for your hair. With that being said please care for your extensions as you would your real hair and with proper care, your hair will last for 3 or more years!
